Lecce promoted to Italy's Serie A

MILAN, June 15 (Reuters) - Lecce were promoted to Italy for Serie A on Sunday after drawing 1.1 at home with small Albinoleffe to complete a total 2.1 playoff final victory.

The side of the heel of Italy, who finished third in Serie B, are the last team to go this season after Chievo Verona and Bologna won automatic promotion.

Lecce won 1-0 in the first stage on Wednesday, having overcome Pisa in a two-legged playoff semi-finals earlier this month. They come up flight two seasons after being relegated.

Albinoleffe, who play in Bergamo and average crowds of 3000, beat Brescia in their semi-final, but was unable to continue the fable.

MADRID, June 15 (Reuters) - Malaga Sporting Gijon and were promoted to the Primera Liga with victories in their final games of the second division season on Sunday.

Malaga finished second behind already promoted Numancia champions after a 2-1 home victory over Tenerife, and top-flight after being relegated in 2006.
